 Control of water flow from the watershed, means for this performance, basic function of a reservoir, relevant equations
 Categorization of the reservoirs, function volumes, water management solution of reservoir storage function, water management solution of reservoir protection function
 Water management plan, dispatcher control of the reservoir, water management systems
 Assembling of mathematical model of water flow in water management system, solution of water management systems storage function, use of simulation model and methods of optimal programming for solution of optimal control and development of water management systems, protection function of water management systems

1. Introduction, basic terms, river basin, rainfall-runoff process
2. Precipitation
3. Atmospheric humidity, evaporation
4. Geographical factors of a river basin
5. Water-level gauge and water discharge measurement
6. Statistical processing of hydrological data
7. Approximation of empirical distributions by teoretical distributions used in hydrology, regress models
8. Analysis of hydrological series, basic stochastic hydrology, artificial discharge series
9. Derivation of discharge series, determination of Qa, introduction to extreme discharges
10. Maximum and minimum discharges
11. Prediction of water-level gauge and discharges, basic types of models
12. Floating matters and sediments
13. Ground water, springs, ground water runoff.

Aims

Basic knowledge of river basin runoff control with the use of isolated reservoirs and water management systems, ability to determine basic functional vulumes of water in reservoirs, obtaining information necessary for construction of mathematical models of water flow through the water supply sytem and flood control system, ability to use adequate tools suitable for solving basic type of tasks
