Course curriculum

1. Two-way edge supported slabs - structural arrangement, structural analysis, approximate techniques.
2. Two-way edge supported slabs - PC analysis, reinforcement detailing.
3. Continuous two-way slabs – principle of solution, reinforcement detailing.
4. Monolithic reinforced concrete slabs locally supported – structural arrangement, static action, elementary calculation of internal forces, principles of dimensioning for deflection.
5. Extrusion of a slab. Solution of different types of heads. Methods of reinforcing.
6. Serviceability of two-way slabs. Slabs of common shape.
7. Slabs partially edge supported.
8. Circular and annular slabs.
9. Waffle slabs.
10. Simple supported and continuous deep girders.
11. Design of storage tanks (bunkers and silos) – loading, principles of static solution.
12. Design of storage tanks (bunkers and silos) - dimensioning and reinforcing.
13-14. Design of reservoirs – loading, principles of static solution, dimensioning, reinforcing.
