Course curriculum

1. Introduction, basic definitions. History. Size and figure of the Earth. Reference surfaces. Basic measuring units.
2. Angle measurement, directions, horizontal and vertical angles. Theodolites.
3. Distance measurements. Direct an indirect measurements. Polar method and ortogonal method.
4. Height measurements, height systems, benchmarks. Trigonometric height measurement. Hydrostatic and barometric leveling.
5. Leveling. Instruments and equipment. Leveling errors.
6. Geodetic control, stabilization and signalization, accuracy characteristics. Coordinate calculations, bearing and distance, polar point, line point, orthogonal point.
7. Coordinate calculations, intersections, traverses, transformations.
8. Maps, digitalization of maps. Organization of geodetic service.
9. Cadastre of real estates, history and development, basic terms of cadastre of real estates.
10.Surveying works. Planimetry, altimetry.
11.Setting out of points , lines, circles, curves, planes.
12.Setting out of boundaries.Setting out plans.
13.Global positioning system.Photogrammetry and remote sensing.
