General overview through the history of architecture and the development of building constructions and city building with a view to architectural cultures of Bohemian countries. Architectural styles, architectonic features, typical building constructions and materials terminology from the history of architecture and civil engineering.

Student will manage the goal of the subject, i.e. acquirement directory information about the development of architecture, constructions and building technologies since the Antiquity until today. Acquirement of ability to classify object by its characteristics to style period and ability to use a professional nomenclature.
