The course focuses on the development of all language competencies at B2 SERR level. It is based on materials and requirements of international English language examinations.

The student uses English language as an independent user at B2 CEFR level.
He/she knows and uses language means for the description of people.
He/she characterizes various jobs and skills associated with them.
He/she lists and describes a number of free time activities.
He/she discusses the roles of individuals in the society.
He/she communicates in situations connected with travelling and culture.
He/she uses grammatical structures according to the requirements of the given level and course syllabus.

Prerequisites

Secondary school knowledge of the English language (B1 CEFR) is required.

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in Article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.
Exercises developing communication skills in both oral and written forms.

Aims

The course is focused on the development of all language competencies needed for fluent and independent use of general English language at B2 SERR level in professional and social situations.

The content and forms of instruction in the evaluated course are specified by a regulation issued by the lecturer responsible for the course and updated for every academic year.
