To deepen and widen studens knowledge of management and acquaint them with contemporary management methods. The attention will be also paid to historical owerview of managemnt, measurement in management as a basis for controls, managerial models (EFQM), application BSC methodology for developing business vision into measurable goals, process aproach..

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students be made familiar with the modern approach to and application of management including development connections and possibilities of leading of employees, time organizing, team work, process and project management, managerial model aplication.

Knowledge acquired in the course Corporate Management I”.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching consists of lectures, which consist of an explanation of discipline, content, terms, structure and methods. The exercises are aimed at the practical side of the lectured topics.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Within the exercise a point assessment system is used. Students will need to get a minimum of credits. 60 points out of 100 possible. Points can be obtained by fulfilling the required and optional tasks:
1) max. 20 points => solving questions from 2 case studies (optional task) - for solving and solving the case study the student gets 10 points, if he does not participate in the solution, he gets 0 points
2) max. 35 points => Presentation of the presentation topic (compulsory task) - The student will write to one of 6 possible topics on the teacher's list by the end of the 2nd week, which will be presented in the 3rd to 8th exercises. For the presentation, the student can be assessed up to 35 points with respect to originality, adherence to the defined time, presentation and presentation of information on the chosen topic.
3) max. 45 points => elaboration, submission and presentation of the semester project (compulsory task) - the assignment of the semester project will be given for the seminar in the 3rd week of the semester. The deadline for submission of the teacher's e-mail is until the end of the 8th week of the semester. The evaluation of the written part of the project will be up to 40 points according to the requirements of the assignment. In the late submission, the student is awarded -5 points. Presentation will take place in the 10th - 12th semester of the semester, the student will be evaluated for up to 5 points.
If the student fails to complete the required tasks in the sum of min. 60 points, he / she can ask the teacher for a written written project. The deadline for submission may be no earlier than 7 calendar days (but no later than by the end of the 4th week of the semester test period). The teacher will review the written written project within 3 working days after submitting and will award a maximum of 40 points in the overall assessment.

Examination requirements: Knowledge of the subject matter and its practical application.
Written exam form, closed questions with a rating of 1 or minus 0.5 points, open questions with a score of 0 to 3 points. The minimum number of test points is 50%.
The exam is classified according to the ECTS scale.
Requirements on completion of the course (weight):
Completion of the conditions for obtaining a credit of 50%
Passing the final exam 50%
Total 100%

Aims

The main objective of the course is to provide students knowledges of modern approach to and application of management including development connections and possibilities of leadership, control, comparison and use of successful management in world, objectification and managerial procedures.The aim of the course is to develop students theoretic basis terms,content,structuralization and methody management and practical application. Another goal of the recommend approaches necessary tasks on a corporate level. The course is a follow-up to Corporate Management I

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Check the results of term paper, the results of solution of case studies, the results of the processing and presentation topics, check the results of the knowledge test.
Attendance at lectures and exercises is not obligatory but recommended. The activity demonstrates the performance of the tasks for which the points are scored in the exercises. To get a credit, 60 out of 100 possible points are required.
