Learning outcomes of the course unit

The course synthesizes and categorizes international standards for managing business projects and get acquainted with the world's most important standards of enterprise project management in Europe, the USA, the UK and the Czech environment. The main emphasis of the course is given to the understanding, learning methodology Project IN Controlled Environements (PRINCE2). At the same time, students will be familiarized with the standard ISO 21,500th Students will have the knowledge to obtain a certificate in project management.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of basic concepts of project management and their understanding. Control of the basic tools used in project management throughout the project lifecycle.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course consists of lectures, which have the explanation of basic principles, and methodologies of the discipline problems. Exercise encourage in particular practical mastery of the subject matter presented in lectures.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

To obtain the credit, it is necessary to prepare a semester work in the required scope and its defense, at least 25% attendance in the course (no matter whether it is a lecture or practice). The exam is a written test and open questions and will monitor specific knowledge with direct relevance to practical application and understanding. To pass the exam successfully, students must complete at least 50% of each grade. In the case of a repeat test, the exam shall also consist of an interview.

Aims

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the current state of knowledge in the field of enterprise project management. This requires practice acquires knowledge and applying it to a specific project. Students will thus verify behavioral, contextual and technical competence in the form of their own skills.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Attendance at lectures is recommended and controlled, attendance at seminars is required. Education runs according to week schedules. Compensation of absence will be in the form of essays and research, and is fully in teacher's competence.
Individual consultations according to entered seminary own projects or for processing in 25 hours.
