Electrical heat technology

Basic technical aplication electrical heating principles in industrial area. It's resistant heating, electric arc aplication, inductive and microwave heating, electron heating. Modern conceptions are represented by plasmatic and electron heating and laser applications. In nonindustrial area are described electrical energy using to heating of bulding and air-conditioning. It's also described economical views on electrical heating systems. Electrical energy in use as ecological conception of energy.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Basic knowledges from electrical heating needed for operation, evaluating and rating of equipments. In nonindustrial area knowledges allows design heating systems and its economical calculations and evaluations.

Prerequisites

The subject knowledge on the Bachelor´s degree level is requested.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations. Teaching methods include lectures, numerical exercises and practical laboratories. Course is taking advantage of e-learning (Moodle) system. There are continuous tests in the numerical exercises.

Aims

Course content is to apprise students of scientific basic of electro heating engineering from the range project, traffict and maintenance heating systems.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
