Ethics of Business Enterprise

Social intercourse, rhetoric and ethics of business offers basic information and skills of etiquette, culture and personal expression in writing. Business Ethics brings social and ethical view of the business itself. Students will learn how to use the tools of cultivation business ethics. The course develops students' communication skills and shapes their behaviour in business. It brings the knowledge that enhance students' competitiveness in the labour market.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will gain the modern approach to business with a focus on social and ethical sphere. They will learn basic skills for dealing with ethical dilemmas. They will be able to participate in the development and application of current tools to improve business ethics in a company or institution. They will be encouraged to become able to speak in front of an audience and know the rules of etiquette

Prerequisites

Knowing the type of commercial companies, management tools, theories of firm behaviour, theory of consumer behaviour, international business practices.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching is carried out through lectures and seminars. Lectures consist of interpretations of basic principles, methodology of given discipline, problems and their exemplary solutions. Seminars particularly support practical mastery of subject matter presented in lectures or assigned for individual study with the active participation of students.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Course-unit credit requirements:
1.Student has to visit seminars, 1 absent si allowed.
2.Individual presentation in steady date.
3. Final exam : correct answers

Aims

The objective of the course is to introduce ethical and social dimensions of business. Globalisation of economy brings new challenges, which the coming generation should be able to solve using the knowledge of the contemporary theory.

Knowledge of rhetoric and social intercourse is a competitive advantage for our graduates in the labour market.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Students have to present their reports in front of other students in seminars.
