Course detail
Experimental Methods in Materials Engineering
FSI-WEMAcad. year: 2017/2018
Basic methods for the preparation, observation and evaluation of the structure of metallic and non-metallic (ceramics, composites, plastics, concretes, wood) materials, using modern analytical methods (light and electron microscopies, X-ray analysis, spectroscopy, etc.). Assessment of the relations between the structure and the mechanical and physical properties of materials. The students will further be made familiar with the evaluation of the structure of a material on the basis of current standards, and they will apply their knowledge to practical problems.
