3D Modelling and Virtual Reality

The course makes students familiar with parametric voluminous simulation with the help of structural members. It deals with practical application of computer technology required for mastering basic methods of creation of parts, assemblies and drawing documentation with implementation create models into virtual reality.

Students will have an overview of parametric systems and VDP (Visual Decision Platform)master the work in Proengineer and IC:IDO.

The course is taught through exercises which are focused on practical topics presented in lectures.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

The course-unit credit is awarded on condition of having attended the exercises 100% and worked out a project for a given topic.

Aims

The aim of the course is to make students familiar with a parametric system ProEngineer and VDP (Visual Decision Platform), theirs use in the design process from proposing an industrial design with support of Virtual Reality, over a draft design and detailed construction, to working out a production documentation.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Participation in the exercises is compulsory. Justified absence can be compensated by personal consultation with the lecturer or selfwork.
