Basics of practical applications of GNSS in geodesy. Observation planning. Measurement methods (static, Stop&Go, kinematic).
Real time methods (RTK).
Processing of measured GNSS data with software Leica Geo Office in WGS-84 and ETRF-89 systems.
Data transformation into cartographic projection (S-JTSK).
Use of data from permanent stations.
Practical applications of GNSS in geodesy.

Course curriculum

1. Basic principles of GNSS positioning. System components of GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou.
2. Observation with GNSS receiver. Observation planning.
3. GNSS positioning - postprocessing and real time methods.
4. Factors influencing accuracy of GNSS positioning(1).
5. Factors influencing accuracy of GNSS positioning(2).
6. Basic procedures of GNSS data processing.
7. Commercial GNSS processing software.
8. Scientific GNSS processing software - BSW.
9. GNSS positioning with employment of permanent stations data.
10.PPP positioning, coordinate systems and transformations.
