Prerequisites

The student has to be graduated from the master degree study in the field of architecture and urban planning. The student's professional interest should be focused on the chosen subject matter of the doctoral thesis, he or she has to have a basic overview of the problems that are being solved in the Czech republic and abroad. Indispensable is also the knowledge of one world language.

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

he state doctor degree examination takes place before a commission appointed by the Dean of the Faculty. Part of the examination is the student's reaction to the opinion on the treatise submitted by the student.The examination takes at most 2 hours and is public. The examination is classified: passed - failed.
