Studio II - Painting 1 - winter

Students develop their experiences from practical subjects and interconnect them with the knowledge gained from theoretic areas and technology. They are assigned tasks which they perform with respect to their individual talent and disposition.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Individual approach to the technologies of the studied subject.
The mastering of drawing and painting according to the model, the ability of individual solution, the ability to formulate one´s own themes.

Basic knowledge of the studied subject.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching takes place in the form of group and individual consultations of the teacher with the students over the assigned semestral tasks. Teaching includes lectures and workshops on semester (theme) topics provided by external lecturers. During the semester students take part in at least one excursion to foreign museums and galleries. Once every two semesters, a painter's stay (plenary) takes place.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Credit conditions: the amount and quality of work, the level of interaction with the teacher, effort and diligence.

Drawing and painting - studies, reflection of qualities of object reality (structure, colour relations, spatial relations...), figure, still life...

Aims

To elaborate basic exercises in the studied subject.
Development of drawing and painting abilities according to reality, expression of real relations through individual dispositions and intentions.
Development of drawing and painting means of expression.
Possibilities of solution of traditional (study) themes - orientation.
