In the course of the seminars, students report (in a form of a twenty-minute lecture) on their results obtained when working out the bachelor theses

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will get an experience in presenting technical results. It may then be used by students when presenting their diploma theses (during the State Exam) or results at scientific conferences, etc.

Students are expected to have certain knowledge acquired when working out the bachelor project

The course is taught through exercises which are focused on practical topics presented in lectures.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

There is no exam, students will be awarded course-unit credits on condition of having attended the seminars actively and reported the diploma theses.

Aims

The goal of the seminar is to teach students about how to present achieved results to a broader (technical) audience. This will prepare them for their performance during the defence of the bachelor theses.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Attendance will be checked by the teacher. The form of compensation of missed lessons (in justified case) is solved individually with subject guarantee person. The credit is awarded for the bachelor thesis.

Syllabus

1.-13.: One seminar will take place every week. Each student will report on his/her bachelor thesis once during the semester. The presentation of the theses will be followed by discussion by the audience.
