Personal, Business and Industrial Law

The course is focused on determination of civil law; commercial law; labour law. Also dealt with are the following topics: Participants of legal relations and their representation. Property right. Liability for damages, unjust enrichment. Obligations. Inheritance. The definition of a businessman/businesswoman and a business activity. Trading company and co-operative. Employment. Rights and duties of an employee and an employer.

Learning outcomes of the course unit
Students will be able to consider the rights or liabilities with respect to their creation, change, extinction and security, as well as the running of the limitation period, to evaluate the situation and take necessary measures.
Students will be made familiar with contract law discovering the advantages and disadvantages of the contractual agreements. They will have a grasp of the regulations governing the setting-up, classification and liquidation of corporations, companies and co-operatives. Also discussed will be the possibilities of employment contracts and the rights of employees and employers.

The exam (or regular course examination) has a written form. It is a test with questions. The classification is in accordance with the rules of the Faculty of Business and Management.

2. Civil substantive law - terminology, principles, participants in civil-law relations and their representation.
3. Real rights - ownership, joint ownership
4. Property rights to things foreign
5. Inheritance Law
6. Contractual law - contracts
7. Torts liabilities, obligations or other legal reason
8. Business Corporation - terminology, business register
9. Trading companies and co-operatives, liquidation.
10. Labour law - terminology, participants in labour-law relations and their representation.
11. Employment.
12. Working time regulations, period of rest, overtime, holiday entitlement, liability of an employer and an employee for damage caused.
13. Rights and duties of an employee and an employer.
