Management of Project

FP-IpmPAcad. year: 2018/2019

This subject will introduce fundamentals and principles of present project management with regard to competences of project manager according to ICB edt. 3 (International Project Management Association Competence Baseline). Students will learn new methods that are used in managing of projects and its computer tools during proposals and managing of ICT projects.
Due to processing of case studies focused on proposal of project from information system, they will verify their knowledge obtained on the lectures.
Students will try working in the team. They can use this experience in their future jobs.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will learn principals and methods that are used in management of the projects and with their informational support in conception and management projects focused on information systems.
After passing this subject students will be able to be part of the project teams specialized on information systems or participated in different projects of Structural funds.

Ability of system cognition
Ability of working in the team
Knowledge of software engineering
Knowledge of structure and function of company information systems
Knowledge of working with computers

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

The course contains lectures that explain basic principles, problems and methodology of the discipline, and exercises that promote the practical knowledge of the subject presented in the lectures.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Pro získání zápočtu studenti úspěšně absolvují zápočtovou písemku, která bude zaměřena na ověření znalostí z probrané látky.
Zkouška je písemná. Skládá se ze dvou částí: první část je testová a druhá část se skládá z otevřených otázek.

Aims

The goal of the subject is to teach students principals of current project management with regard to competence of project manager.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Attendance at lectures is recommended, attendance at seminars is controlled by means of process tasks. Teaching is by weekly schedules.
