Theory of Landscape

Basics of soil science, meteorology, climatology in relationship with the landscape. Water management melioration and agricultural problems in connection with soil cover. Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students obtain knowledge of regularities of landscape functioning, overview of landscape types, and laws of therir origin, development and changes of landscape caused by human activities. Basis knowledge of meteorology and pedology.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of chemistry, biology and physics

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations. Verbal lectures with usage of Power point, excursion to the laboratory of Landscape water management institute.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Draw up a test on PC and verbal exam.
