Department

Institute of Road Structures (PKO)

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Design of urban roads and traffic calming.
Environmental impact assessment.
Integrated traffic system.
Civil engineering law.
Diagnostics of pavement.

Prerequisites

Complete road design, computation of highway geometry, knowledge of used road materials and typical pavement constructions.

Co-requisites

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.
Project of a urban road in a training map is the fundamental method of education.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Practices are finished with adequate attendance (max three absences), supply of all computational exercises and of a complete project in extent described in classes (simplified project at the level of study).
Exam is written. Questions agree with lectures through semester.

Course curriculum
