Parametric Design

FA-PADAcad. year: 2019/2020

Parametric design is the most actual creative method in the branch of architecture and relative artistic disciplines. The artist doesn’t straight work on the final object, but he defines the algorithm (sequence of the program operations leading to birth of the 2D or 3D object). The change of input parameters can effectively progress the final longed-for form.
The tutorials follow the theoretical introduction. The prototypal parametric design examples point to the capabilities of the graphical algorithm editor Grasshopper. The students work on their unique designs in collaboration with a mentor in the second part of the semester.
