Studio I - Photography - winter

Semestrial work - “good / bad” photography
Major work - exhibition series for the semester exam.
+ Spontaneous exercises (tasks will be given during the learning process, intended for all students except those who are fully dedicated to their own work)

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will master the black-and-white analog photography through practical experience with old photographic techniques. They will have to accomplish the given assignments creatively and innovatively.

Prerequisites

Interest about medium, collaboration and spiritual attitude towards photography. Knowledge about digital and analogue techniques. Maximum devotion to the field of photography and self reflection.

Introduction seminar, team building activities, discussions with the aim to analyze reasons why to study photography.

Course curriculum

We will focus on the basics of analogue photography, formal and technical aspects. Part of the course will be exercises, semestrial task and students' major project.
Semestrial work - good / bad photography.
Each week will be held mandatory studio meetings, individual consultations and discussions about students' major work.
Assignments and topic of semestrial work might change during the study process.

The basic experience with analog photography. To understand and explore different approach from the digital photography.
