The course is focused on modern knowledge of technical diagnostics of machines and equipment. Emphasis is placed on the theoretical knowledge of technical diagnostics, such as the integration of technical diagnostics into product quality, the clarification and description of diagnostic systems, the analysis of diagnostic models, diagnostic signals and the distribution of technical diagnostics according to various aspects. Subsequently, attention is focused on selected diagnostic methods, such as thermodiagnostics, water level diagnostics and flow diagnostics. There is always an emphasis on using individual diagnostics to assess the condition of a technical object. Selected and discussed methods are important for understanding multi-parameter diagnostics. The remaining most important methods of multiparametric technical diagnostics are explained in the following subject.The course is supplemented with an exercise where the most important topics are properly practiced. There is also a discussion on the results obtained and conclusions in the exercises.Technical Diagnostics I is followed by Technical Diagnostics II, which is a continuation of description and analysis of other diagnostic methods suitable for assessment of the state of technical objects. By studying both subjects, students will acquire comprehensive knowledge of multiparametric diagnostics of machines and equipment. The findings are also based on the content of the Industry 4.0 initiative and Maintenance 4.0.
