Methods of fire resistance verification and methods for determination of physical-mechanical properties of concrete and steel at increased temperatures. Methods for verification of fire resistance of concrete elements and structures.
Design of reinforced concrete and masonry elements on the effects of fire by simplified calculation methods. Design of elements and structures from high-strength concrete.

1. The behaviour of concrete and concrete structures during the fire. Effects of fire on structural bearing capacity.
2.– 3. Evaluation of fire resistance, temperature of concrete and reinforcement during the fire. Analysis of the effects of fire and fire load calculation.
4.– 5. Properties of concrete and reinforcement at increased temperatures. Determination of mechanical and physical characteristics of concrete and steel.
6.– 7. Design principles. Design methods for concrete structures exposed to fire - design according to the tables.
8.– 9. Simplified calculation methods and advanced computational methods. Special features of the proposal of elements from high-strength concrete on the effects of fire.
10.– 11. Properties of masonry at increased temperatures. Determination of mechanical and physical characteristics of masonry.
12. – 13. Design principles. Design methods for masonry structures exposed to fire.

Syllabus

1. Determination of load on concrete elements and it’s effects during the fire. 2. Determination of the temperature in the heated concrete element. 3. Correction. 4.– 5. Calculation of bearing capacity of concrete elements at known temperature profiles of elements. 6.– 7. Slab and beam - verification of fire resistance according the tables. 8. Columns - verification of fire resistance according the tables. 9. Correction. 10. Slabs, beams - verification of fire resistance by the method of “500 °C isotherm”. 11. Wall - verification of fire resistance by the zone method. 12. Final correction. 13. Submission of the project. Credit.
