Professional Practice

Professional experience lasts a total of two weeks (80 hours). Students have the option to choose a company in Czech Republic or abroad. Student arranges practice itself. Practice needs to be done outside of regular teaching. Before starting the practice, it is necessary to fill in the form with its specification and have it approved by the course guarantor. Practice is included at the end of the academic year after a submission of written confirmation of its completion and report about its progress.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will be able to:
- discuss the problems caused at work on a professional task,
- apply knowledge obtained in technical courses into practice,
- analyze problems arising from professional work on the task,
- Propose a solution to a task in the field of audio engineering specified by absolved professional courses during the study.

Prerequisites

Graduating specialist mandatory and optional courses in which the student will acquire knowledge of defined focus of professional practice.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Professional Practice takes 2 weeks, practical knowledge of students are outputs of it. Professional Practice is supported by e-learning (Moodle).

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Course is evaluated by credit, that student receives at the end of academic year after a submission of written confirmation of its completion and report about its progress.

Course curriculum

Professional practice of the student 2 weeks in a broadcast, post-production or recording studiu, theatre or company of the audio industry in the Czech Republic or abroad. The distribution of practice during the academic year is arbitrary, the only criterion is graduation practice range at least 80 hours.

Aims

The aim ot he course is for students to complete their professional practice in a broadcast, post-production or recording studios, theatres or in companies of the audio industry, companies dealing with studio and listening room design, complex instalation of AV technology etc. and in research and development institutes in the Czech Republic and abroad.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

The content and forms of instruction in the evaluated course are specified by a regulation issued by the lecturer responsible for the course and updated for every academic year.
