Production Technology of Polymers, Composits and Silicates

FCH-BC_VYPAcad. year: 2020/2021

Educational excursion to manufacturing companies focused on manufacturing of silicates, polymeric and composites based materials. Excursion are technologically focused on elementar production steps with proffesional speaking, when students can get acquainted with technological and production demands of silicates, plastics and composits materials. Silicate technologies include manufacturing of cement, concrete products, ceramics and glass products. Plastic processing containes injection moulding, extrusion, extrusion blow moulding, adhesive laminating, casting materials, sandwich constructions, rubber technologies, calendering, vulcanization and recycling. Composite manufacturing is dedicated mainly to production of materials based on glass fibers and polyester matrices by pultrusion, handmade bedding, reaction injection pressing and spattering.
