Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.Techning methods include lectures, computer laboratories and practical laboratories. Course is taking advantage of e-learning (Moodle) system. Students have to write a single project/assignment during the course.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Subject is finished with examination. Classification: 0-100 points.

4. - 6. Specific problems in nuclear power plants self-consumption.
7. - 9. Use of renewable energy sources in electricity production and future perspectives.
10. - 13. New technical trends in the production of electric and thermal energy.

Aims

Main object of this course is to acquaint students with present both renewable and non-renewable power production problems from generators technical development perspective, their principles, and their cooperation in power network. Second object is to notice power generators influence to environment.
