Learning outcomes of the course unit

Student obtains overview of plumbing systems, electrical equipments and heating systems of building.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge about constructional systems of buildings, fundamentals of hydromechanics, fundamentals of water supply and sewerage, basic theoretic knowledge of direct and alternating current, fundamentals of heat transfer.

2. Sorts of waste waters and designing of drainage systems inside buildings.
3. Water sources for water supply for buildings. Water supply systems and their designing.
4. Domestic hot water supply systems. Equipment for fire-water supply.
5. Fuel gas properties. Gas installation for buildings.
6. Building electric wiring installation, artificial lighting.
7. Electrical service connections, lightning conductors.
8. Problems of designing of thermal comfort in building, overview of heating systems, choice and design.
9. Heat losses of buildings and heat balance.
10. Determination of type and size of radiators.
11. Heat sources and their dispositional arrangement.
12. Equipment of boiler rooms.
13. Pipes sizing of heat systems.
