UNDERGROUND, AIRBORNE AND SATELLITE GEOPHYSICAL METHODS: Carriers, Methodology of Measurement and Data Processing. Magnetic method - Magnetic properties of rocks, measurement of susceptibility, geomagnetic field, magnetometers, examples of aeromagnetic map interpretation, magnetic field of the Czech Republic and Slovakia, limits of airborne and satellite measurements; Gravity method - principles, problems, gravimeters, absolute and relative measurements, data processing, reduction, gravity anomalies, determination of the density and the porosity, derived and transformed gravity maps, gravity measurements in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, inverse role, measurements in underground and shafts, vertical gradient and the second derivative of gravitational anomalies; Radiometric methods - principle of the method, measurement and data processing, radioactive rocks, gamma spectrometry, devices, aerial survey; Geoelectric stationary fields - resistivity methods, profiling and sounding, spontaneous and induce polarization; Electromagnetic methods - principle of methods, electromagnetic field (ELM) geometry, real and imaginary field components, ELM methods classification, ELM methods, interpretation of ELM methods;GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) - theory and applications; REFLEX SEISMIKA: Seismic methods - 2D, 3D and 4D variants, wave field, principles of measurement and processing of reflection seismic, applications in oil and coal exploration, exploration of gas reservoirs, solving problems of deep seated structures of crust and lithosphere. Examples of interpretation from individual segments of lithospheric plates. GEOFYZIKA AND SEISMOTEKTONIKA - Seismic wave theory. Methods for registering earthquake waves, processing seismograms - determination of foci and earthquake focal mechanisms, earthquake prognosis, identification and interpretation of fracture structures. GEOPHYSICS AND REMOTE SENSING EXPLORATION - types of images, ways of interpretation, utilization of GIS technology, combination of geophysical and DPZ data, interferometry, exogenous dynamics.

Course curriculum

1. Introduction - UNDERGROUND, AIRBORNE AND SATELLITE GEOPHYSICAL METHODS: Carriers, Methodology of Measurement and Data Processing.
2. Magnetometry - magnetic properties of rocks, measurement of susceptibility, geomagnetic field, magnetometers, examples of interpretation of aeromagnetic maps, magnetic field of the Czech Republic and Slovakia, limits of air and satellite measurements,
3. Gravimetry - principles, problems, gravitymeters, absolute and relative measurements, data processing, reduction, gravity anomalies, determination density and porosity,
4. Creation of derived and transformed gravity maps, gravity measurements in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, gravimetric foundations,
5. Direct and inverse gravimetric task, underground and shaft measurements, vertical and horizontal gravity gradients and the second derivative of gravity anomalies.
6. Radiometry - method, measurement and data processing, radioactive rocks, gamma spectrometry, instruments, aerial survey,
7. Geoelectric stationary fields, resistivity methods, spontaneous and induced polarization, GPR - Ground penetrating radar measurements
8. Electromagnetic methods - method principles, electromagnetic field (ELM) geometry, real and imaginary field components, classification of ELM methods, use of ELM methods, range and efficiency of ELM methods, interpretation of ELM methods,
9. REFLECTIVE SEISMICS: Seismic methods, 2D, 3D and 4D variants, principles of measurement and processing of reflection seismic, wave field, applications in basic Earth exploration and oil and coal exploration, exploration of gas reservoirs,
10. Refraction seismic, solution of the problem of deep structure of bark and lithosphere. Examples of interpretation from individual segments of lithospheric plates.
