Practics of Functional Diagnostics
CESA-SPFDAcad. year: 2020/2021
This subject is focused on the extension of theoretical knowledges and gain of practical skills about methods and technology used in functional diagnosis. Students will deal with diagnosis instruments and their technical parameters. The next profit will be practical experience with instruments control, calibration and problems, which can appear during measurement process.

Learning outcomes of the course unit
- Choose suitable instrument and measure basic physiological parameters like weight, height, blood pressure, heart rate, breathe rate, oximetry
- Connect electrodes and measure ECG using clinical instrument
- Evaluate important parameters of fitness devices, configuring own device
- Connect electrodes and make measurement of EMG and evoked potentials
- EMG measurement using wireless system including movement monitoring
- Walk and stability measurement
The test is oriented to verify, that student is able to:
- Describe basic principles used in electric signal sensing from the human body
- Describe basic principles used in diagnosis of basic function of the human body like breath rate, blood pressure, heart rate, ect.
- Describe principles of evaluation of physiological parameters
