Surface Science

CEITEC VUT-DS115AAcad. year: 2020/2021

The main goal of this PhD course is to extend the knowledge of students on solid state physics to surfaces to better cope with research tasks and challenges of CEITEC and efficiently utilize the instruments of the CEITEC facilities. Learning the behavior of surfaces at microscopic (atomic) scale will provide better understanding of macroscopic properties of surfaces and some technically relevant processes on solid surfaces such as thin film and nanostructure growth, heterogeneous catalysis, corrosion, etc..
