Investigations of electrochemical power sources and related systems, potentiostat measurements. Methods for evaluation of activity and lifetime of electrode materials designed for electrochemical power sources.
Methods of scanning electron microscopy, interaction of electrons with solids, signals and their exploitation in diagnostics. Environmental scanning electron microscopy, study of non-conductive materials, phenomena on phase interfaces, dynamical in-situ experiments.
Electron spectroscopy, survey of electron spectroscopy methods. X-ray spectroscopy, energy and wave length dispersive methods.
Methods of X-ray diffractography, powder diffraction spectroscopy. Special diagnostics methods.
Defects of printed circuit boards, influence of material and process factors on their formation. Microscopic methods for defects diagnostics in printed circuit boards.
Reliability and quality, methods of reliability analysis. Quality control processes. Methods and procedures for risk assessment, risk management.

Knowledge of selected methods used for determination of properties, parameters and structure of electrotechnic materials and material systems in relation to dependability and quality.

Investigations of electrochemical power sources and related systems, potentiostat measurements. Methods for evaluation of activity and lifetime of electrode materials designed for electrochemical power sources.
Methods of scanning electron microscopy, interaction of electrons with solids, interaction volume, signals and their exploitation in diagnostics.
Electron spectroscopy, overview and principles of electron spectroscopy methods. X-ray spectroscopy, energy and wave length dispersive methods.
Environmental scanning electron microscopy, study of non-conductive materials, investigation of phenomena on phase interfaces. Study of materials during dynamical in-situ experiments.
Methods of X-ray diffractography, powder diffraction spectroscopy. Special diagnostics methods.
Defects in soldered printed circuit boards, influence of material and process factors on their formation. Microscopic methods and techniques for defects diagnosis in printed circuit boards.
Reliability and quality, methods of reliability analysis. Quality control processes. Methods and procedures for risk assessment, risk management.

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with selected methods for evaluation of properties, parameters and structure of some electrotechnic materials and material systems and with dependability, quality, and quality process management.

Syllabus

Měření elektrochemických zdrojů proudů a příbuzných systémů, potenciostatická měření. Metody hodnocení aktivity a životnosti elektrodových materiálů ve zdrojích elektrické energie. (18 hod)
Metody rastrovací elektronové mikroskopie, interakce elektronů s pevnou látkou, typy signálů a informační objem, signály a jejich využití v diagnostice materiálů. (3 hod)
Elektronové spektroskopie, jejich typy a principy, přehled elektronově spektroskopických metod. Rentgenová spektroskopie, energiově a vlnově disperzní metody. (3 hod)
Environmentální rastrovací elektronová mikroskopie, studium elektricky nevodivých vzorků, sledování dějů na fázovém rozhraní. Studium materiálů v rámci dynamických in-situ experimentů. (3 hod)
Rentgenová difraktografie, metody rentgenové difraktografie a prášková rentgenová difrakční spektroskopie. Speciální diagnostické metody. (3 hod)
Vady zapájených desek s plošnými spoji, vliv materiálových a procesních faktorů na jejich tvorbu. Mikroskopické metody a techniky diagnostiky vad plošných spojů. (3 hod)
Spolehlivost a jakost, metody analýzy spolehlivosti. Řízení kvality procesů. Metody a postupy hodnocení rizika, řízení rizika. (3 hod)
