The course acquaints students with the issue of citations (citation creation, plagiarism, citation analysis, etc.) and copyright aspects of scientific publishing.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will know the principles of ethical use of information. They will be able to create references of various kinds of documents and use reference managers to create them. They will know the copyright aspects of publishing and open access issues. They will be able to search in the electronic information sources available at BUT. They can critically evaluate information found on the Internet.

Teaching takes place in the form of e-learning in the Moodle system and is supplemented by individual consultations.
