The course is focused mainly on value added tax (VAT). The purpose of this course is to familiarise students with the basic terminology and methods, as well as the principles relating to the laws of VAT together with other legal regulations and rules associated with this law, which are necessary for applications of the value added tax law, both in the EU and elsewhere.

The course-unit credit is conditional on the following:1. Active attendance at seminars where student will practise various different practical methods of calculating Tax.2. Successful completion of a credit test – and a minimum 50 % completion of given coursework.Conditions for passing an exam: Student has to demonstrate his/her knowledge acquired in the course and apply it in practice (in particular, determining the place of performance, the determination of the chargeable event, the definition of the tax base, knowledge of various types of exemptions and entitlements without the right to deduct, the correct definition of the tax base, calculation of the ratio and the coefficient krátího including their practical use, usability partial and repeated performance, conditions for entitlement to deduct including the necessary specific types of tax documents, knowledge application Presente tax, etc).Form of examination: Combined – written exam followed by an oral examination if necessary.
