Course detail
Project, Design and Logistics of Transport and Handling Equipment
FSI-QLDAcad. year: 2021/2022
The course in Project and Design of Transport and Handling Equipments familiarises students with project activities in the sphere of material handling and with new possibilities of computer support used for its rationalization. Material flow, its analysis and evaluation methods are discussed. Mathematical expression of handling-transport problem. Methods of minimizing transport costs. Project documentation of material handling systems. Method of Systematic Handling Analyses. Efficiency indexes of handling systems. Design of storage services. Logistics of handling chain. Simulation of handling processes. Transport logistics and handling acquaints students with the logistics and costs of services and their impact on the efficient function of transport - handling systems. Using computer aided simulation of the transport-handling processes.
