FA-RPS-KEAcad. year: 2021/2022
The course acquaint students with the issues of reconstruction, failures and repairs of existing building structures. It shows the typical problems of various types of structures (concrete, steel, wood, brick, etc.), which we face when designing structural improvement and presents ways of their optimal solution. Teaching is divided into theoretical part and practical part (the survey of selected buildings or on the relevant building technique) within the seminar work. Excursions (field trips) are an integral part of teaching.In the study programmes “Architecture and Urban Design” the course is part of the technical courses.
