Experiment in Geotechnics (The Course of ESF)

FAST-VFC001Acad. year: 2022/2023

Students acquire to use contemporary methods for foundation soil study. Integral parts will be also observation method (mathematical and experimental modeling and field monitoring). Student will be lead to teamwork during the design of the geotechnical structure. The learning process will respect environmental aspects too. Supposed solutions of designs will be discussed with experinced experts during field works and excursions. Students obtain feedback for their designs.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students acquire at course to use contemporary methods for foundation soil study.

Aims

The aim of the subject is increasing of the level of theoretical preparation of students for solution of practical tasks, preparation for in situ operation and development of teamwork. Students obtain by the passing of the subject current overview about contemporary techniques of testing and monitoring of foundation soil. Suppose solution will be dicussed with experinced experts. Integral part of the subject is terrain work and field excursion.
