Popularization of Architecture – BAM

FA-BAM-TAcad. year: 2022/2023

Brno Architecture Manual (BAM) has been in use for more than ten years. Shortly after launching it became an attractive and inspirative tool to increase public knowledge about Brno architectural heritage and about the importance of its protection. Simultaneously, BAM methodology of further expansion was developed, as well as the possibilities to transfer it to other towns and cities. Today we can see BAM as a universal platform which has a potential to be developed at the universities. The course focuses on the ways to popularize architecture, on creation of architectural tours, on scientific and research activities, and on creation of popular scientific texts.
In the study programme “Architecture and Urban Design” the course is part of the theoretical courses.
