The course is an introduction to the issue of safe operation of electrical medical devices. Students will gain knowledge of the principles, legal provisions, safety regulations and technical standards in the field of safety in electrical engineering. Particular emphasis is placed on the specifics of medical equipment and the potential electrical and other risks, which may occur during their operation.The course prepares students for the examination in accordance with Act 250/2021 Coll. and NV 194/2022 Coll. on professional competence in electrical engineering. After a successful examination before a committee (optional part of the course), graduates will obtain the qualification of an independent worker. The course prepares students for the examination cin acordance with Act 250/2021 Coll. on professional competence in electrical engineering and the related NV 190/2022 and NV 194/2022 Coll. After a successful examination before the commission (optional part of the course), graduates will obtain the qualification of a person knowledgeable for independent activity.

The evaluation of the course is based on two written tests: 0 - 40 points from the control test and 0 - 60 points from the final test. If the student obtains 75% of the possible points from each test, he/she can optionally take an oral examination before the commission to obtain a Certificate of Professional Competence in Electrical Engineering according to § 6 of the NV 194/2022 Coll. - a knowledgeable person with higher qualification for independent work on electrical equipment up to 1 000 V.
