Methods of Economic Management of Enterprises

The course “Methods of Economic Management of Enterprises” deepens and expands the knowledge of students of the doctoral study programme in the field of advanced tools of economic management of an enterprise. The main emphasis is put on the understanding and application of mathematical and statistical methods and procedures in selected areas of economic management of enterprises and their subsequent use in scientific and research activities within doctoral studies. Students will get to know theoretical backgrounds and using case studies, they will learn how to apply selected methods and procedures including economic interpretation of the obtained results. The case studies will focus on the following areas:
· evaluation of the time development of enterprise economic phenomena;
· prediction models as a tool of enterprise management;
· methods of intercompany comparisons (one-dimensional and multi-dimensional methods, factor analysis, main component analysis, cluster analysis, discriminatory analysis, canonical correlation, correspondence data analysis).

Students successfully complete the subject if they obtain at least 75 points.
Course curriculum
