Electrical Power Production and Distribution

Basic principles of electrical power generation. Principles and technology of common types of electrical power plants. Transmission and distribution networks. Issues of electrical power distribution.

Subject knowledge on secondary school level and pre-intermediate knowledge of English are required.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

Student will work on individual project (30 p.) during semester and two control tests (2 x 10 p.) Individual project submission is mandatory. Min. 25 p. has to be achieved during semester.

Final exam is in written form (50 p.)


The content and forms of instruction in the evaluated course are specified by a regulation issued by the guarantor of the course and updated for every academic year.

Aims

To acquaint the students with basic issues of electrical power generation and distribution.
The students get the basic facts about electrical power generation and distribution.
