Diploma Project Seminar

In the course, students work on their Diploma Project. They deploy theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquired during previous semesters and apply them to their project while also demonstrating complex understanding of creative and critical concerns of contemporary art/design. They present and discuss their work in progress in tutorials with their Diploma Project supervisor who provides theoretical and practical assistance to students working towards the completion of their project and its successful presentation and defense. The outcome of the course is submission of the electronic documentation of the Diploma Project into the university database.

Students are able to carry out and defend an original and innovative art/design project demonstrating excellence in their medium of choice and a complex understanding of creative and critical concerns of contemporary art/design.

Successful completion of these courses: Studio Practice 1, Studio Practice 2, Studio Practice 3, Critical Practice 1, Critical Practice 2, Critical Practice 3.

Working on the Diploma Project, individual tutorials. 

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

The supervisor of the Diploma Project supervises the ongoing work on the project and consults on the interim results of the work. Credit is awarded on the basis of submission of the documentation of the Diploma Project.

Aims

The objective of the Diploma Project Seminar is to provide practical and theoretical assistance to students working on their Diploma Projects.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Students carry out their work inside and outside the school facilities depending on their needs. The progress of their work is monitored and assessed in regular tutorials with their supervisor.
