Aims

The course expands the students' horizon of visual culture to the field of clothing culture and fashion. The aim is to view the subject of interest from the perspective of individual identity, but also to look at alternatives embedded in non-European culture. They learn about identity work in context as the sum of aesthetic, psychological, social aspects with marketing and economic strategies.

By completing the course, learners will gain an overview of fashion and the ability to critically reflect on various aspects of fashion. They will be able to expand their artistic practice to include a critical perspective, but also the values coming from the fashion design industry.
