Students will be made familiar with:
Material requirements planning system of production process; normative basis for consumption calculation. Order processing. Purchasing strategy for markets. Inventory management – inventory technologies base methods. Inventory sorting with Pareto analysis. Warehouse systems. Goods identification. Order processing and packing.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
The evaluation of the course is based on the systematic, continuous work of the students during whole semester.
The course assessment is based on students team semester project(s) solution; case study solution; semester project(s) presentation; seminars in computer laboratory and written exam. The maximum number of points is 100. Scoring of each component is following: semester project(s) solution (maximum 30 points/total); case study solution (20); semester project presentation (maximum 10 points) and written exam (maximum 40 points).
Additional activities (maximum 4) will be included during the semester. Additional activities are especially external lectures (5 points/lecture) or practical training (5 points/training) or excursions (10 points/excursion), which can be used for obtaining additional points to pass minimum points requirements.
Chosen semester project topics should be sent via Forms by the end of 3th week of the semester. Students have to hand over a written semestral projects via e-learning by the end of 6th week of the semester in the form project file: „teamleadername“. Late submission (inc. Case study solution) will be penalized by 20% from the total score of solution. Similarly, late or changing the form of submission of partial tasks is penalized by 5b.
Attendance at additional activities (i. e. external lecture, practical training and excursion) is systematically controlled. The evaluation of the defence of the project solution consists equally of the evaluation of the team's performance and effectiveness and the professional defence. The criteria for evaluating team performance and effectiveness are teamwork; communication; leadership; functioning etc.
The criteria for evaluating the professional defense of the project solution are solution orientation; preparedness; completeness and scope of answers; discussion. The course requirements grade are course-unit credit and exam. Course-unit credit maximum is 60 points (inc. project(s) and case study solution, project solution presentation). Course-unit credit is given under successful fulfilling the conditions of min. 30 points. At least 15 points have to be from semester project(s) solution. At least 10 points have to be from case study solution. The written exam (maximum 40 points) contains set of open and close questions, which focus on practicle understanding and application of general inventory management knowledge.
Course Course Completion for Students with Individual Study Plan:Course assessment is conditional on submitting and presentation of the semestral project solution, case study solution in the required scope and time. Conditions for awarding the course-unit credits: Working out the semestral project(s) (inc. presentation) and case study solution. The exam contains set of open and close questions, which focus on practical understanding and application of logistics approach. Students should contact the theacher at least 4 weeks before exam date.
Distance Course Completion:All full time education activities are replaced by adequate online education form. Student’s attendance is checked by selected topics solution or online discussion. The online exam contains set of open and closed questions, which focus on practical understanding and application of inventory management knowledge. Detail specifications are published in e-learning.
Attendance is required and checked by the tutor. Also controlled is a partial solution of the case study in the middle of the semester.
Aims
Students will be able to analyse and sort structure of inventory. Beside students will be able to make strategic decision in the field of warehouse projecting; warehouse technology and question how to effective manage material flows. The application of prediction tools and techniques of inventory both inventory management in practise is emphasized.
