Theory of Economic Sciences

The subject "Theory of economic sciences" pays attention to the rational behaviours of micro-economic subjects on the demand and supply side in dynamic changes. In particular the possibility of applying mathematic tools is emphasized. The students will develop their knowledge from the master studies.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
The next requirement for the final exam is presentation of an assignment to a selected topic in both Macroeconomics and Microeconomics. The assignment is worth of maximum 10 points.
In the overall assessment, the points of the assignment (weight 0.3) and exam (weight 0.7) are added.
The attendance of students on seminars is monitored.
Aims
Students should be able to understand the interdisciplinar character of economic theory and apply the gained knowledge to the area of his/her Ph.D. studies. Student will be familiar with advanced methods and tools of economic theory, which will support him/her to work in a creative way, argue his/her special standpoints, evaluate variants and make decisions.
