Aims
The course focuses on the management of projects, especially in the area of information and knowledge systems. The subject also explains current trends and international standards of project management. It looks at how to plan and manage projects so they can be completed in a timely manner, the necessary quality and within budget.

1. Introduction to project management (definition of project management, specification of IT project management).
2. International standards and methodologies of project management (IPMA, PMI, PRINCE2) and their use in IT.
3. Definition of basic concepts (project, project definition, three-imperative, definition based on 5 attributes, determination of project objectives with regard to IT).
4.Pre-project, project and post-project phases.
5. Pre-project phase (analysis, proposals and their evaluation).
6. Logical framework method (principle, benefits, definition of intent, objective, controllable outputs, key activities, objectively verifiable indicators, verification method and assumptions).
7. Project manager and team management in an IT environment (characteristics and skills of an IT project manager, basic team characteristics).
8. Project phase (focus on planning in the project).
9. Risk management in IT projects (methods and procedures used for risk management).
10. Project phase (IT project management, control, motivation and communication).
11. Post-project phase (creation of project knowledge base).
