The project focuses on the application of the knowledge in the field of engineering technologies and also other related technical branches in the course of elaborating an independent one-semester project on a given technological topic. The topics are oriented to fundamental designs of the manufacturing technologies of metal-forming, welding and surface treatment. The project is elaborated under the guidance of a supervisor.The course is finalized with the course-unit credit. It is classificated to the ECTS grading scale.

Syllabus
1.Opening consultations concerning the methodological approach to project elaboration.2.Objective of the specialized project, the general content of its main parts, division into chapters.3.Assignment of approved technological topics.4.Significance, content and forms of literary searches, searching, citation by ISO 690, working with literature data, recommended literature, database system.5.Selection and choice of materials, consultations re assignments.6.Working out a technological procedure for the technology chosen, based on principles of technological suitability.7.Technological and design calculations, working with standards (e.g. EU CSN, DIN).

Design and selection of production equipment, clamping options, calculations9.Preparation of drawing documentation, writing the texts, graphic presentation of Figures, Tables and appendices.10.Individual check of partial solution results in manuscript form, individual check of drawings.11.Running consultations.12.Assessment of end-of-year projects.13.Awarding graded course-unit credits.
