The basics of flight planning and execution of flight for VFR and especially for IFR are discussed. During the course, students will get acquainted with the procedures of determining the weight of the aircraft, its balancing, preparation of documentation for the flight, the performance of the aircraft in all phases of flight, working with flight manuals and all aspects of flight, including emergency management.

Basic knowledge of secondary-level applied mathematics, geometry and physics.
Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
Lectures and seminars are mandatory in this form of study. The condition for granting the credit is 80% physical participation in lectures and seminars. Absence classes can be replaced by independent study and independent processing of assigned tasks.
Lectures and seminars are mandatory and attendance is checked by recording in the class book (min. 80%). Reasoned absence may be replaced by consultations and in the form of individually assigned tasks and projects for independent processing, which must be submitted no later than during the course-unit credit week.
Aims
The course objective is to make students familiar with basics of flight planning and execution of flight with aircrafts of performance class B, A, for VFR and especially for IFR. To teach students to practically use theoretical knowledge from this subject in pilot training and subsequently in practice. To prepare students to take theoretical exams to obtain the ATPL (A).
Students will acquire knowledge and skills of flight planning and performing, which are necessary for a professional pilot in the civil air traffic.
