Fundamentals of Dynamics Mechanisms, Fundamentals of Theory of Linear Control Systems, Fundamentals of Theory Electric Machines and Apparatuses, Schemes and Function of Electric Energy Converters.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course

The graded course-unit credit granting is conditioned by handing over an individual work concerning a pre-set topic and passing the test of presented topics. The resulting evaluation is set by point assessment according to the Study and Examination Rules of the Technical University. Students can gain points from 2 parts: 1. Written test of presented topics, 0-50 points. 2. Quality of working out individual assignments, 0-50 points.
The course contains only lectures. Missed lectures are not compensated.

Aims

The aim of the course is to make students familiar with the current status of electric equipment in thermal, nuclear and water power plants and operation and control elements used in power machines and equipment. The task of the course is to acquire the basic knowledge on such a level so that students are able to apply the above stated equipment and its components in their profession and to orient in the wide offer on the market.
The subject enables students to get the knowledge necessary for the application and optimal setting of relevant devices in compliance with manufacturer’s technical documentation, including operation and control elements. Students will also acquire practical skills necessary for servicing and diagnostics of simple faults of electric devices.
