Commercial Transport

The subject provides students with an introduction to practical activities in commercial air operations. Students are familiarized with the activities of airlines in selecting suitable aircraft types, creating a network of airlines and providing technical aircraft handling. The subject also includes issues of air transport sales, acceptance of passengers for transportation, issuance and recognition of documents, methods of payment, tariffs in international passenger transport, discounts, luggage, passenger transport under special conditions, provided services, operational flight documentation, receipt of goods for carriage, carrier's liability, types of charges and charges in the carriage of goods, international goods transport documents, special types of cargo and booked goods, irregularities in the air transport of goods, and other aspects related to the commercial operation of the airline.

Rules for evaluation and completion of the course
The examination is of write and oral form and it is based on three questions and discusion.
Lectures and exercises are compulsory. The absence (in justifiable cases) can be compensated by personal consultation with the lecturer and elaboration of individually assigned topics and exercises.
Aims
Orientation in the marketing aspects of air transport, in the transport conditions, in the transport documentation, in the tarifs and charges assessment, in the categories of passengers, baggages and freight and ways of their transport.

At least 60% attendance at the lectures is required. The form of the check is the attendance list. The exam is written, the student has to answer two selected questions. Part of the evaluation is also the quality of self-produced work.
