Special Technology of Ceramics

The course should to explain mutual relationships between applied synthesis method, processing condition, structure and properties of advanced ceramics. The fundamentals of synthesis methods including wet chemical synthesis process, polymer pyrolysis, gas-phase reaction, mechanochemical synthesis, etc., are explained.

Aims

The aim of the course is a professional entry into individual areas of advanced ceramic technology in relation to the functional properties and the influence of the raw material used and the preparation technique on these properties. The audience can thus orientate themselves in this rapidly developing area.
The structure and properties of advanced ceramic materials are explained to students in order to give them ability to follow current trends in ceramic technology.
